Dual Credit Information

Dual enrollment is a program that enables high school students who meet admissions standards to take college-level courses at a public university that count for both high school and college credit. This South Dakota Board of Regents program is designed to give students a head start on their higher education journey. Thanks to a program approved by the SD Legislature, students receive a discount for courses, paying only on an already reduced credit hour rate.
Qualified professors and instructors teach the classes, which cover the same material as the courses offered to college students. By participating in dual enrollment, students can earn credits that can be applied toward their high school diploma and college degree, helping students save time and money in the long run.
All students enrolled in dual credits must maintain class pace and complete all assignments by posted deadlines. They will be required to show their current grade to high school office staff on the first school day of each week to monitor progress. Students who do not complete their grade check can be assigned a consequence at the discretion of the office.
