Ice Cream

We used a pampered chef ice cream maker and used these recipies.....

First Version-

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup of half and half (or whole milk)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • teaspoon vanilla

 

Directions:

  1. Freeze base in freezer for 24 hours
  2. Mix all ingridents and chill
  3. Put mixing paddle on base of ice cream maker, turn on power and set timer for 20 min
  4. Slowly pour mix into ice cream maker

When timer is done ice cream will be consistency of soft serve.  You can place in freezer to make it firmer.

 

Second Version-

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup of half and half (or whole milk)
  • 2 tbls stevia
  • teaspoon vanilla

 

Directions:

  1. Freeze base in freezer for 24 hours
  2. Mix all ingridents (be sure to make sure stevia is disolved) and chill.  Our class had to chill it overnight.
  3. Put mixing paddle on base of ice cream maker, turn on power and set timer for 20 min.
  4. Slowly pour mix into ice cream maker.

When timer is done ice cream was still runny.  But after freezing it in the freezer it came out fine.
