School Registration - Deuel School District 19-4

Starting with the 2025–2026 school year, registration is going digital! Parents and guardians will now be able to register their students online through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

All families will need an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account to get started. If you don’t have one yet or need help logging in, the district is ready to help walk you through the process.

This move to online registration is part of Deuel’s ongoing effort to improve communication and make school processes more family friendly. We're excited to make registration easier and faster for everyone!

Parents/guardians of current Deuel School District students must complete annual registration by completing the Online Registration Form and update contact information through Infinite Campus. You may also make fee payments through Infinite Campus.

Step 1. Update information on the parent portal of Infinite Campus. If you do not have access to a Parent Portal account please contact the school at 605-874-2161.

Athletic Registration/Form Using Bound - 7th -12th Grade
All physical forms, consent paperwork, and registration for student athletes will be completed online. You will find links to the Bound website, step by step instructions, and a health history form.

Please call the school at 605-874-2161 to start registration. After the school reviews your enrollment request, an email will be sent explaining how to create a Infinite Campus Parent account or how to add the new child to your current parent account, where the remaining forms can be completed.

We will need a birth certificate and immunization records for each student that is enrolling into the Deuel School District.

This could happen for a variety of reasons:

Please check to make sure you are logged into the Parent Portal using your own Username/Password. DO NOT use your student’s login information. Please note that Online Registration is only available to parents/guardians.
Check to make sure you’ve not already completed online registration.
Students with more than one household will have a primary and a secondary household. The primary household contact person will be the one to receive the online registration link.
If your parent portal account was recently created, the tab will appear within the next 24 hours.

How do I pay for my student’s school lunch and other fees?

During the school year, meal payments can be paid anytime online through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. You can set up automatic payments now as well if you choose.

Additional school fees can be paid online once they are entered into the system shortly before school begins in August.

You may also make these payments at the yearly Back to School Fair held in August.

Do I need to pay all fees before my student can attend school?

All fees must be paid before the start of the school year. If your family is in financial hardship, you may qualify for free or reduced fees if you meet certain income guidelines.

Yes. All student athletes will need a physical/doctor's signature each year.

We wish to home school child, what do we need to do?

Home education is referred to as “alternative instruction” by the South Dakota Department of Education.

Complete and file a notification for Public School Exemption Certificate annually
Have your child take a standardized achievement test in grades 4, 8, or 11.
Provide education for an equivalent period of time to public schools
Include language arts and mathematics
Keep good records

We’re excited to announce an important change that will simplify how you handle your student athlete’s paperwork going forward!

Starting this year, all physical forms, consent paperwork, and registration for student athletes will be completed online. This new system is designed to make the process more efficient, secure, and accessible—so no more misplaced papers or last-minute signatures!

The attached document will walk you step-by-step through how to:
•   Register your student athlete for participation in sports,
•   Upload physical examination forms directly to the system,
•   Electronically sign all required consent paperwork.

This new digital process ensures that your child’s information is kept safe and that all forms are complete and up to date before the season begins.

Free, reduced-price, or paid meals.

Please note the updated application for the 2025-2026 is not available yet. Do not fill out the previous school year form. New forms will be available at the Back to School Fair.

Free and Reduced Meal Application

Families who may qualify for free or reduced-price meals will need to submit a free and reduced-price meal application. Schools will take applications and use family income to qualify students for free, reduced-price, or paid meals.

There are still many ways children can get free meals. Children are automatically eligible for free meals if anyone in their household gets SNAP, TANF, or FDPIR benefits. We will alert you if your child is automatically eligible.

Children experiencing homelessness, children in foster care, runaway youth, or children of migrant workers all qualify for free school meals when their household fills out an application. Children can also qualify for free or reduced-price meals through an application if their household’s income is under a certain limit. You can find the latest income guidelines online at https://www.fns.usda.gov/cn/fr-021622 or contact us for more information. We will help you understand if your student qualifies based on the information you put on your school meal application.

Children who do not qualify for free or reduced-price meals may pay full price for a healthy breakfast or lunch at school. Even at full price, school breakfast and lunch are still an excellent bargain. You can’t find a similar quality meal for that low price at a restaurant or convenience store. Our school nutrition staff are dedicated to fueling our students’ minds and bodies for learning.
