Online registration is now open!

All families will need to complete the Online Registration for the 2026-2027 school year.

This page includes the link for updating the annual agreements and permissions for the student handbook, computer use, transportation, and Health History.

All families are encouraged to complete this step before the Back to School Fair.

New students to the Deuel School District should contact the school
as soon as possible to begin the enrollment process.

Deuel School District is entering its second year of digital registration. We have made improvements to make the process even more streamlined and user-friendly for families. The registration includes updating the parent portal in Infinite Campus, completing the Student Handbook and Agreements Form, and the Health/Medication Form.

If your child is a current student, you should already have access to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. You will still need to log in and carefully review your information and make any necessary updates to ensure everything is accurate and current. You will also need to follow the link provided for Student Handbook and Agreements Form. When you complete that agreements form, you will be provided with a link for the Health/Medication Form.

For families who are new or need assistance accessing their account, the district is happy to help you get set up and walk you through the process.

This continued move to online registration is part of Deuel’s effort to improve communication and make school processes more efficient and family friendly. We appreciate your partnership as we work to make registration easier for everyone!

What should I do if I don’t see the “Online Registration” tab when logged into the parent portal?

This could happen for a variety of reasons:

Please check to make sure you are logged into the Parent Portal using your own Username/Password. DO NOT use your student’s login information. Please note that Online Registration is only available to parents/guardians.
Check to make sure you’ve not already completed online registration.
Students with more than one household will have a primary and a secondary household. The primary household contact person will be the one to receive the online registration link.
If your parent portal account was recently created, the tab will appear within the next 24 hours.

During the school year, meal payments can be paid anytime online through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. You can set up automatic payments now as well if you choose.

Additional school fees can be paid online once they are entered into the system shortly before school begins in August.

You may also make these payments at the yearly Back to School Fair held in August.

Yes. All student athletes will need a physical/doctor's signature each year.

We wish to home school child, what do we need to do?

Home education is referred to as “alternative instruction” by the South Dakota Department of Education.

Complete and file a notification for Public School Exemption Certificate annually
Have your child take a standardized achievement test in grades 4, 8, or 11.
Provide education for an equivalent period of time to public schools
Include language arts and mathematics
Keep good records

We’re excited to announce an important change that will simplify how you handle your student athlete’s paperwork going forward!

Starting this year, all physical forms, consent paperwork, and registration for student athletes will be completed online. This new system is designed to make the process more efficient, secure, and accessible—so no more misplaced papers or last-minute signatures!

The attached document will walk you step-by-step through how to:
•   Register your student athlete for participation in sports,
•   Upload physical examination forms directly to the system,
•   Electronically sign all required consent paperwork.

This new digital process ensures that your child’s information is kept safe and that all forms are complete and up to date before the season begins.

Health History Form

The Health History Form needs to be printed out and taken to your visit with the physician. This form will then need to be upload when completing the registration process. All of the other documents will be available online when you register for a sport or activity.

Physicals need to be completed for all 7-12 athletes.

Please take a picture of the two completed sheets laying side by side and upload that. Example below:

Free & Reduced Meals

Free, reduced-price, or paid meals.

Please note the updated application for the 2025-2026 is not available yet. Do not fill out the previous school year form. New forms will be available at the Back to School Fair.

Free and Reduced Meal Application

Families who may qualify for free or reduced-price meals will need to submit a free and reduced-price meal application. Schools will take applications and use family income to qualify students for free, reduced-price, or paid meals.

There are still many ways children can get free meals. Children are automatically eligible for free meals if anyone in their household gets SNAP, TANF, or FDPIR benefits. We will alert you if your child is automatically eligible.

Children experiencing homelessness, children in foster care, runaway youth, or children of migrant workers all qualify for free school meals when their household fills out an application. Children can also qualify for free or reduced-price meals through an application if their household’s income is under a certain limit. You can find the latest income guidelines online at USDA Food and Nutrition Service (Link Below) or contact us for more information. We will help you understand if your student qualifies based on the information you put on your school meal application.

Children who do not qualify for free or reduced-price meals may pay full price for a healthy breakfast or lunch at school. Even at full price, school breakfast and lunch are still an excellent bargain. You can’t find a similar quality meal for that low price at a restaurant or convenience store. Our school nutrition staff are dedicated to fueling our students’ minds and bodies for learning.
