Paraprofessional Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional support to students under the guidance of a teacher.
  • Assist in classroom management and student engagement.
  • Support students with special needs in academic and social settings.
  • Help prepare learning materials and classroom activities.
  • Supervise students in various school settings, including lunch, recess, and transitions.

Substitute Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
  • Follow lesson plans and classroom procedures provided by the teacher.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.
  • Effectively manage classroom behavior and student engagement.
  • Communicate with school staff regarding student progress and any classroom concerns.
  • Carry out other duties necessary to support student learning and school operations during the assignment. 
LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE BAND DIRECTOR

Deuel School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Band Director to lead our 5th–12th grade band program for the 2026–27 school year.

This position offers a great opportunity for an experienced music educator, retired teacher, college student/graduate, or an individual interested in working with students in a supportive school environment.

Bus Driver Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation of the bus.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful environment for all student passengers.
  • Follow established bus routes, schedules, and district transportation procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students while maintaining professionalism.
  • Comply with all state and district transportation regulations and safety requirements.
