The AR Home Connect portal link is for parents to view their child's reading progress, quiz results, and overall performance from home, providing real-time updates and supporting their child's reading journey outside of school. 
In contrast, the AR Link used at school allows students to access the Accelerated Reader program for reading and taking quizzes under teacher supervision during school hours. This link is in the "Student" navigation tab section.
 

The Employment Opportunities page on the school website will list the current job openings available within the school district. It includes detailed descriptions of each position, outlining the qualifications required, key responsibilities, and the application process. 

Families of Deuel School District students are able to complete registration conveniently online through the district’s website. The process allows parents and guardians to update student information, emergency contacts, and required forms from home.

Online registration helps ensure accurate records and streamlines the process for both families and school staff. For those who need help or do not have internet access, assistance is available by contacting the school office.

Completing registration online supports a smooth start to the school year and helps the district prepare to serve students and families.

Planbook is an important resource for students, families, and staff.  Each teacher has a Planbook page that can be accessed through the school homepage. 

Planbook will provide information on topics currently being covered in the classroom along with any assignments, homework, and assessments coming up.  Students that are absent from school can use this as a resource to see what they missed and any homework assignments.

The Public Notices page of the school website contains important announcements and information that the school is legally required to share with the public. The page ensures transparency and keep the school community informed of any significant developments.

The Parent Technology Portals page includes the parent/guardian portal links for Accelerated Reader, Infinite Campus, Remind, and Schoology.  The Deuel School District uses and provides parents/guardians with web-based access to many district services and programs using portals or links to the district website. These portal accounts allow you to access information and services for your students.

Students will use the links located under the "students" navigation bar on the website.

The Testing and Assessment page talks about the standardized tests given during pre-determined windows throughout the school year. Some of these tests help teachers determine how much academic growth or progress students are making in each subject area. They help teachers determine the most important areas that require an additional or heightened teaching focus. By evaluating data, the school district decides which teaching practices best support student understanding of standards. Assessment results also provide families valuable information about how well their child is doing and where more help might be needed.

The School Supply List page on the website provides a comprehensive list of all the materials students need for the upcoming school year. It ensures that parents and students are well-prepared with the required items, from notebooks and pencils to specific classroom supplies. The list is organized by grade level, making it easy to find and purchase the necessary supplies, ensuring a smooth and successful start to the school year.

The purpose of the Deuel School Facebook page and other school related Social Media pages is to provide an online forum to share information, update the community on events and programs, and showcase the achievements of students, teachers, and staff.   

Deuel School District will place links to Facebook and other social media apps that are used for educational purposes and follow the policies of Deuel School District on this Social Media page. We will not provide links to sites that are private or need to be a member to see the content. If you wish to be included on this page, please send your request and link to the Digital Media Coordinator for the school at Michelle.Gross@k12.sd.us.

The Staff Directory page on the school website lists all faculty and staff members, along with their contact information and roles. It helps parents, students, and others easily find and reach the right person for their needs.

The primary objective of the Student Handbook is to help students develop positive attitudes toward the school as well as to provide information in a clear, concise manner for students and parents.  It is not intended to be a comprehensive set of rules for every situation and in no way restricts the faculty and the administration.
